The process of the guns and it's base

The gunbase and it's mounting fork

Casts of the complete guns.

The gunfork and the guns are now attached to each gunturret and waiting for the paint. 10/10/02

The process of the docking ring. I have made this by glueing several thin strips together in a circle.

The huge scar on the right docking ring. The scratches are not from the 32" model but from the 5'. But i think they locked cool and thats why I added them on my model.

Making the details.

The right ring is attached to the model and all the details are too.

To make these I first used a lathe to make both rings out of word, then covered them in styrene.

Test fit.

The start of the gunturret window.

Almost there.

Gunturret

Cast of the window is attached together with the gunturret cockpit.

Both gunturret cockpits are finished and waiting for attachment.

This is the base for the radar.

The base and the footstand.

The dish - a real pain in the a.. to make.

Done at last - it took me a whole week to make this

Test fit

... and Frank's cast.

The gearbox, also scratched.

...and a set of gearboxes. This is cast, I've only build one master but modified so there could be two different versions.

The master of one of the 4-wheels on the enginedeck.

The "Thruster" are also scratched

What can I say... I wish it was real. 10/17/02

This is one of the jawplates for the inside area of the jaws. This is not accurate at all, becourse I didn't have any good ref. pictures of this area. But I manage to build them in a way so they looks like the original. 10/24/01

Painted with the base colour. Its kind of funny. The detailing changes apperence when it all has the same color. It looks much better. - 11/01/01

This is the piece for the jaw. Its not accurate but its very close or look like it the real one atleast. I have scratchbuild most of it. 11/22/01

For each fan there are 19 triangles and they are clued in a cirkel. The center is made of a wheel from a tank.

This is the unpaintet version. i have used a tank wheel for the center detailing.

I'm done with the 6 vents. Just need to do the final finish on them.

The ring has got the final base color and is vaiting to be clued on. The net is the stuff that Bride's has down in from of there faces. 11/01/01
