One of my other project is the Y-wing. It has been a long term project. But in the fall/winter of 2007/2008 I started the project. I was lucky enough to trade with some castings of a fine model. That served as a good base and saved me from a lot of scratch building. I have no identions of making a specific model, just an old beatup Y. I want to make this as a diorama, sorta like a garage scene. The actual cockpit was started in 2003, but was boxed for a long time. The cockpit was casted.

Here is the window frames. Below I have begun the work of the interior and landing legs.

The body is made of renshape, and the right kit parts for the engines. I needed to make a vac plug for the cone noses.
Scrathedbuild and Painted gear.
Thrusters. There were some bubbles in the castings I got, but those will serve as scars.
Gear doors. Cockpit painted. I want to have the cockpit frame open, therefore it is not yet installed.
